Why You Love Halo Contest Winners! Plus a new fundraiser!

I have seen some really neat entries into the Valentines Halo Contest over the past 2 ½ weeks. Though there were less than 10 entries overall 4 categories, I have decided to give everyone who entered a code. Those who entered will be contacted via Facebook, and will have until March 10th  at 11:59pm MT to respond on which code they want: A male avatar code, or a female one.

On another note, I am pleased to announce another fundraiser that will be taking place starting on Saint Patrick’s Day, Sunday March 17th, 12pm MT. The item?? A signed limited edition copy of Halo 4, brand new, still sealed! Specifically LE #499135. This copy was bought before they became all sold out, the retail price before it was sent to 343 to be signed… $100 USD.

I will be auctioning this off for the IPUL- or Idaho Parent’s Unlimited Charity, where 100% of the profits will go to IPUL. During the auction, the winner can be located anywhere in the world, as I will ship it per USPS International regulations. The winner will have to pay for shipping. The auction will last for 7 days therefore ending on the following Sunday, March 24th, 2013 at 12pm MT.

Note that the goal is to raise at least $250, but considering how rare this item is, I’m pretty sure it will go around $1000. So between now and March 17th, save up your money as this will be an exclusive item signed by most of the Halo 4 Development team!

Note that I cannot identify most of the signature’s because I am not familiar with the development team other than Frank O Conner (which I don’t think he has signed this), and BS Angel (Which she HAS signed this). However if you can identify some of them please message me via Facebook and I will add them to the following list of people who have signed this LE Copy of Halo 4.

Here are the photos of the Signed LE Copy of Halo 4:

List of known Signers (Updated Daily):

That's all for now, so see you on St. Patty's Day, and remember to wear green! (Not to get pinched, but to celebrate John 117's MJOLNIR Armor skin!)

I’m Back! And look what I have to offer…

I know my last update was way LONG ago, but I have a good reason. Over the course of the past 2 months I have been preparing for a huge fundraiser/giveaway. So let’s start with the fundraiser 5 W’s (Who, What, When, Where, Why) and I’ll move on to the cool stuff I’m giving away later on.

The Goal: Do a fundraiser and a giveaway to benefit 2 organizations to raise as much funds a possible during the Holiday season.

The fundraiser will be for both the Charities: Child’s Play (www.childsplaycharity.org), and IPUL or Idaho Parent’s Unlimited (www.ipulidaho.org).

Child’s Play is a non-profit 50(3) Organization that raises funds to donate gaming equipment/software/centers to Children’s Hospitals around the world

IPUL is a also a 50(3) non-profit organization but instead provides services to Parents (with/without kids who have/don’t have disabilities), and providers in the State of Idaho.

In August I received a bunch of signed Halo memorabilia thanks to the crew at 343 Industries and Microsoft. The list of what I am auctioning off and who for I have posted below:

Note** This item is VERY, VERY RARE! Because this is the biggest autographed halo memorabilia in the entire auction, I highly recommend you save your coin for this!

Auction: November 8th to 20th, 2012

Freebie Giveaway: October 5th to November 20th, 2012

Auction will be online at EBAY.com.

Freebie Giveaway: www.facebook.com/dogiojoeswebb

Currently I am a Board member for IPUL, and I am required to do fundraising, but since I’m a gamer and I love Halo I figured I would combine the two and create a huge annual fundraiser. I know that most bidders don’t know about IPUL, so I decided to donate to Child’s Play as well.

How do I do this? Simple. The stuff I am auctioning off in the list above will be 100% donated to the organization I listed it for. So for example: Child’s Play gets a signed by Todd McFarlane set while IPUL gets a signed Xbox 360 wired controller. So is this fair? I think so, because I basically split the gifts down the middle between both non-profits. Don’t want to support IPUL but instead support Child’s Play (or the other way around)? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered!

BUT WAIT! There is MORE…

I know that most of you may not have a dollar to spare so instead of being left out I am personally donating my non-signed individual issues of the Halo Fall of Reach Series. For doing one or more of five things you can possibly score one of them for your very own collection!

Subscribe to my YouTube channel- earn 5 entries

Subscribe to my Facebook page- earn 3 entries

Tweet about this contest- earn 2 entries

Write about this huge fundraiser in your own blog/website and provide the link- earn 25 entries!

This fundraiser is available to anyone over 16 or has parental consent. Shipping for the freebie, and EBAY auction is NOT included. Rates & Types of Shipment will be discussed between Dogiojoe and Winner. I will ship to ALL countries around the world.

In other words… the Frag Dolls have an opening!

What is a Frag Doll?

A frag doll is a Professional Female gamer/geek who are employed by Ubisoft with two major responsibilities. The first is to represent the female gamer nation as an Ubisoft Representative; and the second is to dominate the gaming world by competing in professional tournaments and respectively fragging the male population!

While there are many other responsibilities that the Frag Dolls have, the above are considered to be the most important, and one of the reasons…

Why I love Frag Dolls

Being a geek and a gamer is great, but being a female geek and gamer is hard! Especially since female gamers are still getting into the male populated field.

Once a person becomes a Frag Doll, you show the gaming world what a female gamer/geek can do, and in turn you gain a HUGE amount of respect.

This is one of the reasons I love the Frag Dolls, because respect is a big confidence booster, and in gaming, confidence is KEY!

The Frag Dolls use their self-confidence to get a huge completive edge amongst their male competition. So with a team like theirs, no wonder they get lots of awards and prizes.

So why join the Frag Dolls?

Becoming a Frag Doll is the ultimate first step for any female gamer who wants to get her foot into the door… But getting in is the toughest part, so what does it take to join?

An amazing personality, unique skills, and a professional attitude are just some things they are looking for. Though the main thing is, is experience, in fact, TONS of experience. With the world of gaming growing at every second, having experience in all genres, systems, and titles gives you a huge advantage in tournaments.

In turn, you become a force to be dealt with, and in time, you gain even more respect, confidence, and even fans. Fans are a huge part of being a Frag Doll, since many female gamers look up to them for advice and lessons in the ever growing part of the E-Sports field.

Am I qualified?

I hope I am, because becoming a Frag Doll would mean so much to me. So let’s take a look at my set of skills, knowledge, experience, and leadership potential to see if I am ready to be a part of this amazing team!

Which Genres?

All Genres! Not only do I have experience in all of them, but I am best at FPS, RPG, and Action/Adventure. Though I am still getting into MMORPG’s because of the requirements that the computer needs to run that type of software.

What about Systems?

So I’ve played most if not all systems in my years of gaming. Currently I play the Xbox 360 the most, but I do own and still play a PS3, Wii, PSP, and iPad. My history of systems I own, and currently own, as well as played or previously played can be found below:

Atari (played)

Nintendo 64 (Played)

Mac (Played)

GameCube (Played)

DSi (Played)

3DS (Played)

PS1 (Played & Previously Owned)

PS2 (Played & Previously Owned)

GameBoy Color (Played & Previously Owned)

Original Xbox (Played & Previously Owned)

DS Lite (Played & Previously Owned)

Xbox 360 (Currently Playing & Currently Owns)

PC (Currently Playing & Currently Owns)

PSP (Currently Playing & Currently Owns)

Wii (Currently Playing & Currently Owns)

PS3 (Currently Playing & Currently Owns)

Major Titles

Now that you know I have the experience in playing in most genres and owning if not all systems, do you want to know which titles I have the most experience with? Well it’s simple, I’ll just list them out for you…

  • FPS: Halo Series, COD Series, Battlefield Series, Medal of Honor Series
  • TPS: Gears of War series, Ghost Recon Series, Splinter Cell Series
  • Action/Adventure: Assassin’s Creed Series, Batman AA & AC Series, Spider-Man Series, Star Wars Series
  • Puzzle/Arcade: Uno, Portal Series, Limbo, Trials Series
  • RPG: Mass Effect Series, Elder Scrolls Series, KOTOR Series, Fable Series
  • Family: Family Game Night Series, Monopoly Series
  • Strategy/ Simulation: Sims Series, Ace Combat Series, Command & Conquer Series, Endwar Video Game, HAWX Series, Tropico Series, MineCraft
  • Sports/Racing: Madden NFL Series, NCAA Football Series, NHL Series, Need 4 Speed Series, Forza Series, MLB Series, Skate Series, Nascar Series, PGR Series,
  • Music/Dance: Guitar Hero Series, Rock Band Series

But that’s not all!

It may seem that I have the same amount of experience that any other applicant may have, but there are 2 things that you don’t know about me…

One, I am currently a Board of Director for a local Disability Non-Profit Organization called IPUL or Idaho Parents Unlimited. So just to remind you… I am a FREAKING BOARD OF DIRECTOR! Okay, seriously the reason I am repeating this in very BIG letters is this… what 20 year old low income female is a Board of Director? Point being… Not many, so that is one reason I am unique, so what is the next?

The second is very true, but to some may seem impossible. I have over 30 medical conditions, and while that number is a big one for some one of my age, I also have over 20 surgeries and procedures that I have gone through. You may think that, that is CRAZY! But if you look below, and research what I’ve experienced, you’ll understand that not only am I a leader in my community, but I am a disabled female gamer.

  1. Severely narrowed left mainstem bronchus
  2. bronchomalacia
  3. Mild asthma – illness induced
  4. Reactive airway disease w/ cold exposure
  5. Asperger’s Syndrome
  6. auditory processing delay,
  7. sensory integration issues
  8. Bipolar (manic only).
  9. Hx w/ psychotic features
  10. Hearing loss – L, congenital
  11. Mild cerebral palsy
  12. hypotonic muscles
  13. hypermobile joints
  14. Osteopenia
  15. Hx osteoporosis
  16. Scoliosis
  17. Sleep apnea
  18. Fatty liver
  19. Sinusitis
  20. Tendonitis
  21. Plantar fasciitis
  22. bilat feet
  23. Osgood Slatters
  24. bilat knees
  25. Pars defect- aka spondylolithesis
  26. FHPP – familial hypo(er)kalemic periodic paralysis
  27. Migraines
  28. Low vitamin D
  29.  Superior labrum tear
  30. Morton’s neuroma
  31. Confluent and Reticulated Papillomatosis of Gougerot & Carteaud
  32. Hx IgG and myeloperoxidase activation enzyme deficiency
  33. Hx reflux disease
  34. fibromyalgia
  35. connective tissue disorder
  36. Kabuki Syndrome

So what now?

That is what I am asking myself, and hopefully you are doing the same, because I really, REALLY want to be a Frag Doll.

So now that I have showed you my disabilities, leadership, general experience, as well as love, and compassion for gaming, I hope that I can show you why I should be chosen for this unique and RARE title.

A New Country, with a New Creed!

Moving to the New World

This year, Ubisoft is taking the Assassin’s Creed franchise to a whole new world (Literally)!  With Ezio and Altair story coming to a close in Assassins’ Creed Revelations, many people wonder what the next step is for Desmond and his crew.

That step was announced when Ubisoft released footage of this year title called none other than Assassin’s Creed 3 or AC3 for short. AC3 will take players to the Colonial America where both a new assassin, and a very different landscape will be shown. Where not only the redcoats and Templars are your enemy, but the environment and its wild inhabitants will become a threat like no other.

A New Assassin for a New World

With the franchises success of both Ezio and Altair, Ubisoft needed to create a character where not only conflict and emotions would fill the void, but will allow players to connect with the human side of their new Assassin.

This is where Connor comes in… Connor, who is half English, half Native American, is born into this new world, in which he is destined to become the first American Assassin.

While he is still young, Connor will experience an event similar to that of Ezio, and while Ubisoft has been quite about what emotional moment he will face, only time will tell if he fights for the same reasons as Ezio and Altair once did.

What we do know is that Ubisoft will allow players to experience Connor’s life for a 30 year period. We also know that Connor will be the next ancestor for the next part of Desmond’s Journey.

A whole new land to explore!

In previous Assassin’s Creed titles, we explored the vast cities and compounds found in Early 13th and 16th Century Europe. With Assassin’s Creed 3, we will get to explore Colonial America well before any big size cities are found. Players will be able to travel like they did, but instead of buildings and rooftops, we will experience it using trees, rivers, branches, cliffs, and even the open ocean!

Sailing on the High Seas in AC3

With the gameplay trailer revealed at E3 2012, players found out that Ubisoft is taking exploration not only to the lands of the wilderness, but to the vast oceans of the mid-Atlantic. Seeing for the gameplay for myself, Connor is able not only to control the ship, but to also move freely within it, goes to show that the staff at Ubisoft is making sailing as easy and fun as possible.

As you venture further out to the open seas, you will encounter the dangers of both pirates, and the wild weather that sailors all fear. Though most think that this is just another small feature like Den Defense, the crew at Ubisoft told me that they understood Den Defense was an unacceptable part of Assassin’s Creed Revelations… and in response; they are taking measures to make sure sailing on the high seas a simple, yet easy and not boring part of Assassin’s Creed 3.

The Next Creed- Desmond’s Future

We know that Ubisoft is going to show the conclusion of Desmond’s story in Assassin’s Creed 3, what we don’t know is…. Well that’s all we do know at this moment. So far, we have yet to have any Desmond gameplay or stills, so until further notice, AC Fans will have to be patient and wait for Ubisoft to release more details.

Killing is fun! – In AC Multiplayer!

Like the information about Desmond, we don’t know much about AC3’s multiplayer, nothing other than that it will return, and that a new mode will be available. That new mode is called Domination, in which two teams compete to capture and hold up to three areas, and then protect them from their opposition.

What’s next?

Until more information is released, all we can do now is wait until October 30th, 2012, in which Assassin’s Creed 3 will be released in the USA on both the PS3, and Xbox 360.

If you are interested in pre-ordering the third part of the franchise, you can choose between the Standard and Limited Edition for USA orders… or for Europe players, you can choose between the standard edition and 3 Limited Collections.
